Founded in 1971, ARQ71 i associats is an architecture study specialised in the creation of buildings, interior design projects, urban planning, consultancy and global construction projects.
We always work with principles based on accuracy, quality, functionality and design. During the process of each project we adopt the most appropriate solution focused on the customer, the surroundings and the type of construction.
Our customers can be entities, public or private organisms, builders, property developers, residents associations or individuals.
Regarding public organisms, our team is formed by architects with professional experience linked to municipal City Councils in four Catalan locations. This give us a special background and skills in the administrative works of processing building licenses or related plannings.

Architecture
Our way of working in every new project combines aspects like design, functionality, quality, energy efficiency and adaptation to surroundings. In the case of interventions of restoration works and change of building’s original use, our approach always respects the character of each construction, while adapting it to new technologies and purposes.
Interior Design
The interior design is essential in order to complete projects globally and finish them with a comprehensive and uniform design.
We design unique spaces in each project, creating environments were our clients can identify themselves and feel comfortable.

Ramon Artigas i Poch
Founder partner. Architect collegiate member nº4.648-5
He obtains the architecture degree at ETSAB in year 1971. Architect specialised in the creation of multifamily homes and the management of property developments with private developers. He has also worked in the architecture, finance and administrative areas of more than 30 residents’ associations.
Ferran Besa i Subirats
Founder partner. Architect collegiate member nº4.649-3
He obtains the architecture degree at ETSAB in year 1971. Architect specialised in urban planning definition and consultancy. He has also worked as urban planning consultant and architect in different city councils. He is responsible of global management and building of many private property developments.
Josep Mercadé i Pascual
Founder partner. Architect collegiate member nº4.674-4
He obtains the architecture degree at ETSAB in year 1971. His main professional experience is based on the creation and management of architecture projects for private property developers and public organisms like the Government of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya) and different city councils.
Roger Mercadé i Aloy

He obtains the architecture degree at ETSAB in year 2000. He also holds a Master’s degree in architectural structures at UPC (Fundació Politècnica). In year 2004 he joins ARQ71 as a partner. His main specialisation is focused on residential and school projects, and also new plant and building restoration projects.
Ramon B. Artigas i Coll
Architect collegiate member nº37.585-3
He obtains the architecture degree at ETSAB in year 2002. He also holds a Postgraduate’s degree in Building Project Management at Escola Sert. He works as a municipal architect at Gosol’s City Council since year 2007. In year 2004 he joins ARQ71 as a partner. He is responsible of the project and cost control management area of d’ARQ71 i Associats.
Ferran Besa i Beringues

He obtains the Architect degree at Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura La Salle in July 2004, and the Building Engineer degree at the same college in year 2008. He works as a municipal architect at Olvan’s city council between years 2006 and 2014. His main specialization is focused on residential properties, and building of hotels, offices and schools, also new plant and restoration projects.
